Even though Hagen uses a high quality stainless steel, I have found they can still rust a tiny amount after years of use. You might also want to look at your equipment before you add salt!!!!!
Salt water will deystroy any equipment with metal parts. Saltwater aquraium equipment does not contain metal pa.
